Good Morning Dear Candidates, Please be informed that the Jamb CAPS platform is a gradual process. What many Aspirant do not understand is that it's a gradual thing and not once and for all. They pick randomly from department and upload. For Instance, They can pick ten to twenty candidates for Chemical Engineering and upload and it's when Jamb approves it after the University has done so that you automatically see "Congratulations, You've been offered admission. For Instance, Paul and Peter applied for Political Science, Paul scored 240 and 70% in Post UTME and Peter scored 230 and 68% in Post UTME. The truth is that Peter might be considered first before Paul based on some factors such as catchment and ELDS and although Paul might have been considered too but his process may be delayed due to traffic of the CAPS platform.
"Admission is Progress" means that your admission is now being processed by your University and this may be delayed by poor CAPS network even after it has been approved. When a candidate get this response on his profile, It means your admission has been looked into and we shall notify you shortly and which means the traffic of the CAPS. There are some candidates who might have 'Admission in progress' for few days without changing and some won't even use a day before it finally changes to Congratulations. It depends on the traffic of the platform and how fast the candidate admission IS.
When you're placed on Proposed or Recommended, You must have beat the University's requirement or score well and some factors might still delay you which has been aforementioned if you're truly reading the article well. When your name has not been sent by the University and you score high, Jamb can propose you to the University and request to know why the candidate who passed well has not been offered admission and that's why you all need to bear in mind that the list of successful names and details of applicant has been forwarded to Jamb. Also, a candidate course might be changed even If the candidate had score high in Jamb and Post UTME but due to competitiveness of course, the candidate course might be changed along the process because He has scored well though not up to the course cut off but to an extent, Let's consider him and place him for another course instead of not giving him/her any course at all. For the case of a Remedial student, H/She might get his Jamb or Remedial course based on his or her performances overall.
Some candidate who still see "not admitted" should bear in mind that it's not that they won't be admitted, The process of shortlisting may be yet to get to their department, to them or they will be consider in due time after vetting and some may change quickly from not admitted to Congratulations, You've been offered admission. It depends on how fast their process is and the traffic of CAPS. It's a monitoring platform where an Aspirant should endeavour to always keep close tab to. If you can access Facebook 3 times in a day, You should be able to access this CAPS platform for at least 4 times in a day, only if you love Facebook than your Books.
Therefore, All Candidates cannot see it once and for all, If you're a Remedial student and you passed the necessary requirement, Your name is on the University admission list but may not quickly surface because of the CAPS network and that's why we have advised you all to keep checking your portal and be calm.
